What is a Virtual Assistant?🧚‍♀️

The term ‘Virtual Assistant’ is pretty vague, which is tough when you’re trying to understand exactly what a Virtual Assistant is and does. We, virtual assistants, are capable of a lot of different things, it’s hard to find a clear term that encapsulates everything that we can do.
In Lydia/Layman's terms, a Virtual Assistant can support you with business and/or personal tasks. Normally centred around administrative, technical, or creative assistance. Virtual assistants are there to support you, so you can concentrate more on the important tasks.

Characteristics of a Virtual Assistant

We like a challenge

No challenge is too big. We will work hard and put everything we have into ticking your tasks off of the list.

We’re reliable

We’re here to reduce your stress, we pride ourselves on that. We’ll show up and keep you posted with progress so you don’t have to worry. It’s all about communication.

We’re honest

We’ll tell you the truth. If we aren’t the right person for the job, we’ll let you know. If something isn’t clear, we’ll keep you in the loop.

We’re positive

We are the cheerleaders. We approach anything you throw at us in a positive and professional way. We’ll figure it out together, good or bad.

We’re all in

We want to support and see growth and progression. We will be as flexible as we can. We are a partnership. We want to help you reach your success.

I’m always looking to broaden my horizons and my knowledge. Working on new challenges is what makes life interesting for me.
If you aren’t sure if a task is suitable for a potential VA, talk to them. Share expectations and priorities. They’ll let you know if it’s suitable for them and don’t worry if not! They will more than likely point you in the direction of someone who can help.
Hopefully, that’s cleared up the mystery of exactly what a Virtual Assistant is and what they can do for you. 🧚‍♀️ If you do have any questions, please drop me a message. ✉️✨
